Reader Two: After exploring reader two and the idea of reflection i really found the course begin to make more sense and questions and thoughts once i began to reflect came pouring in. Over a three week period of keeping a journal i really saw the benefits as i noticed similar themes throughout the days in which related to me as a person and a performer. In this post i have summed up moments from the past three weeks in which i used reflection. Food for thought   Last night I went for dinner with some friends in the industry and we got talking about jobs (as all performers seem to do). My friend had just been offered a choreographic job in Las Vegas. It was a 6 week stint, with a lot of consideration as he has a family. He then went to say, he had spoke about money and other requirements in his contract and was meant to start in two weeks. Only yesterday he received a call to say because of visa issues they were putting the rehearsal period back a few more weeks....
READER ONE To begin with I really struggled to relate this information to me and my practice. I found myself taking notes on a very factual basis, it was only after then reading reader two and gaining an understanding for reflection that It began to slowly make more sense. About me  Hi, My name is Benny Tyas and I have just enrolled on the BAPP Arts programme with Middlesex University. I completed my Level 6 Professional Musical Theatre Studies at the Hammond School after 7 years of being part of Birmingham Royal Ballet Associates. With this great foundation, i managed to progress to working with Headliners Theatre Company as a lead Vocalist on their cruise ship, Oriana. After this, i moved to Germany, where i began work as a Swing in Mamma Mia. I remember thinking i would only stay in Germany for the one contract but three years later, i am still here. I have enjoyed working with many different styles of theatre here in Germany, such as Stadt theatre. The translation into English is ´City Theatre´ and this involves creating a piece from scratch with original ideas.   What I am most grateful about from my career so far is the range of characters and different genre musicals i have been a apart of. From a young naive gang member ´...
