Truth for me is a great starting point in order to form a valid opinion on something
Truth is a great starting block for knowledge

Certainty in anything provides confidence.
Certainty in knowing a dance routine/results in a greater confidence/a greater focus on improving weak points/more time to focus on performing the dance/see the inner layer of a dance which is need to get the most out of what is required for the routine

My beliefs in how i live my day to day life have been affected by my professional practice.
Helped enforce a belief that in order to achieve my full potential, i need to follow this saying. Ìn order to have a successful life, you have to successful individual days´. This has been something i did not have in my practice until starting the course. So far this is my biggest self finding.

Participant Observation - is a term describing an activity whereby the researcher participates in the community of practice 

A performer does this daily
Observing someone who you admire/a peer - through many forms of media, watching you tube videos, reading biographies, watching performances, seeing someones development through rehearsals 
Observing a dance - Seeing the peak and troughs of the routine/emotions required at certain points in order to convey a specific emotion or a journey of emotions through a routine
Actor - Really interesting because you observe not only the character you shall be portraying but also observe yourself to bring truth to a character and to bring a character really to life.

Personal experience - I have done this through my current job, in la cage aux folles. I feel my own personality and character had some external physical similarities to my role as Carmen, the drag queen but once i began researching drag queens, a completely new level and depth of character took place. I found that many drag queens have struggled with acceptance in themselves and from others. In so many cases, behind the glitz and glamour, a dark, scary story accompanys the facade.This to me then set drag queens apart from simply dressing in women's clothing. Linking to the previous point, i had to then observe points in my life when i can relate to this struggle of acceptance and then how i was going to bring this through Carmen.
